Residents of Padden Brook are said to have become amateur detectives after joking that they have been searching for their MP, Lisa Smart, for almost two years.

Armed with binoculars, waterproofs and the occasional cup of tea, locals have reportedly scoured community meetings, planning consultations and public events in the hope of a rare sighting. Some claim to have caught fleeting glimpses on social media, but no confirmed appearances at Padden Brook have been recorded by the self-appointed “Search Team”.

One resident quipped, “We’ve checked the footpaths, the planning portal and all over the village. Still no sign. At this point, we think Shergar is more likely to turn up.”

The fictional Search Team has now issued a humorous appeal:

Missing from: Padden Brook
Last reportedly expected: Around the time residents wanted support on planning issues.
Distinguishing features: Short blonde hair.
If found: Please ask her to drop in for a chat with local residents.

Until then, the mythical “Where’s Lisa?” campaign continues, with residents insisting they’ll keep the kettle on—just in case the mystery is finally solved.
