Do the Chief Executive of Stockport Council and God Really Exist?
It’s one of life’s great mysteries.
Millions claim to have faith in God, yet few can honestly say they’ve met Him.
Likewise, many believe Stockport Council has a Chief Executive, though sightings are equally rare.
Both are said to work in mysterious ways.
Both are often credited—or blamed—for events far beyond the understanding of ordinary mortals.
Neither is particularly easy to get hold of when you have a pressing question.
There are stories, rumours and official documents suggesting the Chief Executive exists, but much like divine intervention, direct evidence can be elusive.
Of course, there is one important difference.
People generally expect God to answer prayers eventually.
