Environmental Information Regulations 2004 Request
Planning Application: DC/097786 – Land at Padden Brook, Romiley, Stockport SK6 3AS
Dear Information Governance Team,
I am making this request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 for environmental information held by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council relating to planning application DC/097786.
Please provide the following recorded information.
1. Local Wildlife Site
Please provide:
- The official citation for the Padden Brook Local Wildlife Site.
- The current boundary map for the Local Wildlife Site.
- Any GIS mapping showing the relationship between the application site boundary and the Local Wildlife Site boundary.
- Any documentation identifying the habitats, species and ecological features for which the site was designated.
- Any document identifying the date the site was designated as a Local Wildlife Site and any subsequent review of that designation.
2. Ecology and Biodiversity
Please provide:
- All ecological reports, habitat surveys, protected species surveys and ecological assessments submitted in support of the application.
- Any Biodiversity Net Gain Assessment, Biodiversity Metric or equivalent biodiversity information submitted.
- Any ecological screening undertaken by or on behalf of the Council.
- Any advice or consultation responses received from the Council’s Ecologist, the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit (GMEU), or any other ecological adviser.
- Any request made by the Council for additional ecological information.
3. Validation of the Application
Please provide:
- The Local Validation Checklist used for application DC/097786.
- Any recorded information showing how the Council determined that the application met its validation requirements.
- Any internal record, file note or correspondence discussing whether ecological information was required before the application was validated.
- Any recorded decision explaining why the application was accepted as valid if ecological information was not required at validation stage.
4. Assessment of the Local Wildlife Site
Please provide any recorded information demonstrating how the Council assessed:
- the effect of the proposal on the Local Wildlife Site;
- habitat connectivity;
- the ecological function of Padden Brook;
- protected and priority species;
- biodiversity impacts;
- compliance with local and national planning policy relating to Local Wildlife Sites.
5. Officer Advice and Internal Correspondence
Please provide any officer reports, file notes, meeting notes or internal correspondence that discuss:
- the Local Wildlife Site designation;
- ecological impacts;
- biodiversity;
- habitat connectivity;
- protected species;
- trees;
- drainage impacts on Padden Brook; and
- whether additional ecological information should be requested from the applicant.
6. Environmental Constraints
Please provide any environmental constraints plans, GIS layers or mapping used by officers when determining this application, including:
- Local Wildlife Site boundaries;
- ecological networks;
- watercourses;
- Tree Preservation Orders;
- priority habitats;
- and the application site boundary.
7. Written Confirmation of Local Wildlife Site Status
Please provide any recorded information held by the Council confirming that the application site, or any part of it, lies within or affects the Padden Brook Local Wildlife Site, including any correspondence, memoranda or briefing notes prepared by or for planning officers.
8. Duty to Consider Biodiversity
Please provide any recorded information demonstrating how the Council considered its duties in relation to biodiversity and the Local Wildlife Site when validating and determining application DC/097786.
If any of the requested information is already publicly available, please direct me to the specific document or webpage in accordance with Regulation 6 of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
