Romiley residents are growing frustrated as their local concerns go unanswered, even as their MP takes an active role on international matters. Many say it feels like the community is being sidelined.

From trade deals to diplomatic discussions, the MP seems keen to engage on global issues. Yet, when it comes to pressing matters here at home — from infrastructure improvements to local services — residents say the response is slow or non-existent.

“This is our community,” said a long-time Romiley resident. “We understand the importance of global issues, but we can’t get our own local MP to lift a finger to address our day-to-day needs. It’s frustrating.”

Residents now want their MP to balance global ambitions with local accountability. “It’s not enough to represent us abroad,” said another resident. “We need someone who listens here at home too.”

Romiley waits, hoping their concerns will finally get the attention they deserve.
