Councillor Meike facilitated this for fellow LibDem councillor paedophile John Smith. She is responsible for Children’s Services at Stockport. Should she be?
Cllr Wendy Meikle’s daughter, a councillor since 2024 with no discernable work history is Executive Councillor in charge of putting circa 30,000 new houses in Green Belt.
Rumour has it that quite a few members of Cllr Meikle’s family have jobs now at Stockport Council. I asked a FOIA. Vicki Bates/Monitoring Officer/Liz Sykes/Information Governance Officer (the letter was unsigned) replied thus: “During 2025 Stockport Council received a total of 29 requests from you, several of which specifically referred to councillors. Your current three requests appear to form part of a continuing pattern of contact which we consider to be a campaign against the Council rather than requests made for a serious purpose or objective value in the wider public interest”.
So, the people who fund the council are not allowed to question it.
Vicki Bates also claimed it was vexatious to mention that lethal brown asbestos fibres had been left on a new primary school site.
